Youth Ministries
It is our goal to help each young person grow in their relationship with God.
We believe that every part of the body of Christ is valuable, and we are grateful for the ministry of our youth among us. These are crucial years when young people are beginning to formulate their own thoughts and beliefs and we desire our youth to fully embrace God’s call on their lives to be disciple-makers. It is not the role of the Church to replace or step-in for parents but it is to equip and walk alongside them as they raise our youth up in the Lord.
For this reason, our youth ministries are designed for our youth to thrive within our five core commitments:

-
We make disciples of all peoples.
-
God’s word is enough.
-
The gospel changes everything
-
The Spirit works actively today.
-
We need each other.
Please join us for a time of fun, worship, and serious study of the Word of God.

Carrigaline Baptist Church are seeking to appoint an Assistant Pastor to serve with us in the next stage of the churches life and ministry. The role will be for three years, with the aim of extending it as financially able. Training, and mentoring will be given according to gifting and experience.

Serving as an Assistant Pastor provides an opportunity to grow in pastoral experience and responsibility, with a longer term view of being able to serve as a sole or senior pastor within a church.
The vision of the church is to see the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed and new churches panted where the body of Christ is trained and equipped to go and do likewise. This is driven by the Great Commission of Matthew 28v19 'Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...'. We are convinced that the way to fulfil this commission is to have a word centred ministry, where the teaching of scripture is primary. The man appointed will meet the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3v1-7 & Titus 1v5-9.

The specific responsibilities attached to the Assistant Pastor (AP) role are:
Community Outreach Development

The Assistant Pastor, with the support of the Pastor, will develop ways in which we can effectively reach out to - and engage with - the wider community. This will include planning invitational events to further gospel opportunities.
Children and Youth Ministry
The Assistant Pastor will work alongside our existing children and youth ministries, so we can be more effective in reaching our community. Central to this will be supporting leaders as they develop their ministry and grow relationships with parents.
The assistant pastor will also have opportunity to serve in the wider ministry of the church including:
-
Leading our Sunday gathering
-
Preaching (twice a term and during the summer)
-
Pastoral care
-
One to one discipleship
This Ministry opportunity will be overseen by the Pastor who will provide ongoing mentoring in areas of character and ministry, which will include weekly reviews and reflection.
Where required, further theological training is available through Munster Bible College (3 modules a year).
CBC was formed in 1987 as a church plant from Cork Baptist Church. Over the last 35 years the church has had an effective and continuous presence in the town and has partnered with a number of likeminded churches in some of the unreached places of the world. We are also members of the Association of Baptist
Churches in Ireland (ABCofI) and partner with the Cork/Kerry project, a cooperative effort among local Baptist Churches to see more churches planted in Cork and Kerry.
Carrigaline is a growing commuter town with a population of 16,000. With the beginnings of a new town centre, the building of new schools and ongoing housing developments this is only going to grow the population and stretch our resources. To remain effective, we think the time is right to appoint someone to work alongside our pastor in a full time capacity.
Financial support offered, taking into consideration experience would be in line with the current ABCofI support structure.
